Stintino was founded in 1885 by a family of Genoa fishermen settled in the area.
The village keeps some of the original houses and several old traditions.

Stintino is also famous for its white beaches: La Pelosa, Cala di Falco, Cala Lupo and for the Asinara Island, which has been a penal colony for more than 50 years.

Other interesting and beautiful sites such as Castelsardo, Alghero, Porto Torres and Santa Teresa di Gallura and many others can be reached and visited daily.
